Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti

is an Amsterdam-based multidisciplinary artist working across music, performance, composition, and sound. Her artistic practice is deeply informed by her Latin American roots and the cultural memory carried through voice, ritual, movement, and sound. Over the past two decades, she has developed work both independently and in collaboration with the vibrant music, performance, and physical theatre scenes in the Netherlands. Her work has been presented internationally at concert halls, festivals, theatre venues, and museum spaces.
Her practice is inherently multidisciplinary and emerges from a deep engagement with embodied forms of knowledge transmission. Through sound and performance, she explores how ancestral worldviews can remain alive and transformative in the present. This process is also a conscious act of resistance: a way of reconnecting with “saberes” that have been marginalised or erased by hegemonic power. Her work is deeply interwoven in post-colonial justice, the paradox and beauty between grief and celebration, Andean Cosmology as a source of reclamation, resistance and resilience. From this perspective, she creates celebratory, energetic, and shapeshifting sonic performances that invite audiences into collective experiences of transformation, connection, and shared imagination.
